7-year-old dies in hospital

The death of a seven year old girl at the Permet Hospital has made the Health Minister Vangjel Tavo discharge the Director of this hospital, Dhimiter Nasi. 

The patient was sent to hospital with cardiovascular collapse symptoms and vomiting, but the causes of death are still unknown. The parents have blamed the doctors.

“The General Directory of Health Planning at the Health ministry has followed the case closely and the conclusions were presented to the Health Minister, Vangjel Tavo. It was identified that the severe conditions of the patient was not referred to the regional centers”, declared the Spokesperson of the Health Ministry, Alisa Demollari.


A team of specialists at the Public Health Institutions are conducting the epidemiologic analysis for the cause of death.

They are also inspecting the clinical card of the child for any negligence. The Health Minister also gave a warning to the pediatric doctor. The further measures will be taken after the final lab results.
